North East Saints Exhibition

Parents are invited to come along to the Northern Saints Exhibition and video in school on 17th June.  This  will give you an opportunity to see what the children were doing during our trip to Holy Island,  and our Creativity Week.  There will be 2 showings at 9.30am and 1.30pm.  We look forward to seeing you.

Musical Celebrations!

All parents are invited to join us next Wednesday in our school hall for our annual musical performance.  Please come along you will be in for a real treat!  We look forward to seeing you there. Celebrations will begin at 2pm.

School Uniform

I few children are still coming to school wearing trainers.  As previously mentioned trainers are not part of St. Mark’s uniform.  Can you please ensure your child wears the correct shoes for school.  Thank you for your support.

Book Fair

Because Scholastic Bookfairs have given us a very special offer , we have decided to hold a Bookfair in school. If school makes over £300 then we receive 100% commission. Details are as follows;

The fair will run from Monday 20th June until Thursday 23rd June at the following times; Mornings from 8.30am until 9am. Afternoons from 3pm until 3.45pm All money raised will be used to purchase books for school. Please come along and give your support.

Sports Day & Summer Fayre

Our Summer Fayre and Sports day will soon be here.   As I am sure you are aware we will be needing volunteers to help organise our Fayre.  Any parents or carers who would be able to help out either to set up or run a stall on the day are asked to leave their name at the office.  Without enough help and support we are not able to run events like this.  Thank you

Dinner Money

May  I once again remind parents that  dinner money should be sent into school each Monday morning.  This should be in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and handed in to your child’s class and not the school office.  If any parent has a problem getting dinner money in on a Monday can you please let me know. In line with our school policy, parents will be asked to provide a packed lunch for the rest of the week for their child if no money is handed in on Monday. Children who have been absent and take a school meal are asked to bring in dinner money on their return to school. Thank you for your support.

You may remember before half term our girls' football team played in the finals of the Northern Cross Cup. The girls did fantastically well and were up against teams from Newcastle, Consett and Sunderland in a competition which takes in all the Catholic schools in the Hexham & Newcastle Diocese- which is a lot! To reach the final having won all our games was a magnificent achievement and our girls' did themselves proud in a final mini league which went down to the last game. Well done girls!
