St. Mark's Says Thank You


The staff and I would like to pass on sincere thanks for the continued support throughout this term.  We would like to wish you all a safe and Happy Easter.

Well Done

Well done to our Under11 Girls' Football team who have secured a place in the Northern Cross Cup final! The competition runs for most of the school year and involves schools from the diocese of Hexham and Newcastle which means we've played against teams from across the region, from Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, Northumberland etc. We'll let you know where and when the finals will be played as soon as we know.

Our Easter Service


Please come and join us for our Easter service ‘Easter Praise’ this Friday morning in school at 9am.  The service will be led by our Year 3 and 4 children.   We look forward to seeing you.

Dinner Money


Dinner money for the first week of term will be £7.60.  (4days).  The cost for next half term will be £36.10 (3 weeks and 4 days). 

Easter Bonnet Parade


Thank you to those children who have brought in Easter hats, there has obviously been lots of effort and hard work taking place at home over the weekend!!  Well done to you all.  These are now on display in the school hall, and will be judged on Thursday.

Easter School At Farne


Those parents who would like their child to attend the  JJ Sports Coaching Easter camp at Farne Primary school are asked to return the booking form to Mrs Slack in  the school office as soon as possible.

Parent Support Advisor


Last week Caroline Slack our Parent Support Advisor sent home a questionnaire for parents to complete.  Can I ask that these be returned to the school office by Friday at the latest.

KS1 Football Training (Reception 1 & 2 children, boys and girls)


The NUFC coaching sessions will begin on Wednesday 4th May, 3.30pm until 4.30pm Thank you to those parents who have already sent in their £10 payment.   All money is should be paid on or before the first session.  Thank you.

Reception Class Places for September


A Reminder that if your child is due to start Reception Class in September and has been allocated a place at St. Mark’s  your acceptance slip should be  returned to the Admissions and Transfer team at Newcastle City Council by this Friday 15th April. 

Rag Bag Recycling


Thank you so much to those parents who have sent in old or unwanted clothes for our recycling initiative.  This week is the last week for donations, so don’t forget if you are finishing off your spring cleaning you can drop off any unwanted clothing items into the big box into the school hall.  Thank you.

Easter Fayre


The children are all excited about our Easter Fayre this Thursday morning in school.  The Fayre will begin at 9am.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Those parents who have kindly offered to help can come in to school earlier to help finish off the preparations.  Mrs Capalongo from the  Friends of St. Mark’s will be in school to let you know where help is needed.  Thank you once again for your support.
